Would you like to learn what you should consider when preparing for an expert hearing in a committee of the Swiss federal parliament? Or how to ensure your statements are understood in the right context and preempt instrumentalisation?
The Franxini Simulation – Expert Hearing in a Parliamentary Committee (workshop in English) will offer exactly that. The workshop gives an introduction to the Swiss political system and to impact-oriented communication, providing you with the essential knowledge and practical tips for interactions between researchers and policymakers. These skills can then be trained directly and immersively in a simulation of a committee hearing in the Swiss Parliament, where each participant will take on the role of either an expert or a parliamentarian.
This Franxini Simulation is open to researchers of all career levels and disciplines at UZH. It is organized by the Department of Political Science (IPZ) at the University of Zurich in collaboration with the Franxini Project of the think-and-do tank Reatch.
