Civilization as we know it depends on a widespread belief in free will: A lawbreaker‘s sentence, pride in personal achievement, cheating in a relationship - we all are responsiblefor our own actions. However, according to our best present understanding of nature, everything in our universe is governed by fundamantal, impersonal laws which don’t leaveany room for a notion of free will. Join us on our seventh journey through the rabbit hole, todiscuss whether our daily life would be different if we had no free will. This time we are happy to host you at ParkPlatz Letten, an uncommercial free space for critical thinking, with art- and music projects, gardening and workshops for people with any kind of background. Simon Schneider (PhD-student in chemistry at the PSI) and Matthias Gröbner (MA-student in physics) will guide us through the evening.
