Laure Le Blanc is a biophysical researcher and passionate science communicator. Trained as an engineer at ESPCI Paris, she works at the intersection of physics and biology. She earned a PhD in quantitative microbiology at Institut Pasteur, where she investigated how bacteria sense and respond to the mechanical forces they generate during infection.
Beyond the lab, Laure is dedicated to making science accessible, inspiring and beneficial to society. She collaborated with video makers to turn years of research into an educational YouTube video showcasing her PhD findings in the broader context of antibiotic resistance, a pressing global challenge.
Since 2024, she has continued exploring living systems through a quantitative lens as a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL in Lausanne. In February 2025, she joined Reatch to bridge science and society in Romandie, promoting research driven ideas that address today’s real-world problems.
