Dea Müller is a biomedical scientist and dedicated science communicator. She studied biomedical sciences in Zurich and was selected as a member of the Swiss Study Foundation during her studies. There, she greatly appreciated the diverse programs and the opportunity to meet inspiring individuals who broadened her horizons.
During her Master’s studies at ETH Zurich, she deepened her interest in microbiology, immunology, and science communication. It was during this time that she became involved with Reatch, an organization connecting science and society. As part of her engagement, she organized an event on gene engineering and is now a board member of Reatch.
While working on her Master’s thesis at Stanford University, she conducted research on bacteriophages, a field she continues to pursue in her current PhD studies at EPFL.
Her passion lies in making scientific topics accessible to a broader audience. She firmly believes that fostering vibrant dialogue between research and society is essential for translating complex concepts into understanding and action.
