Reatch creates the conditions for knowledge to have an impact. We support researchers in bringing their expertise to bear in social and political processes and enable decision-makers to access relevant scientific evidence.
What we offer:
- Training & coaching: Training programs for researchers at all career stages to communicate scientific findings in a way that is understandable, credible, and tailored to the target audience.
- Dialogue & exchange: Independent formats that facilitate encounters between researchers, political decision-makers, and the public. The goal is to develop joint solutions and promote diversity of perspectives.
- Networking & platforms: Building bridges between scientific disciplines, social actors, and political decision-makers to promote trust and cooperation.
This is how we make knowledge usable—for informed decisions, constructive dialogue, and social progress.
What does Reatch want?
We want knowledge to become a natural part of democratic decision-making processes. This is the only way to solve complex challenges such as climate change, digitalization, and equal opportunities.
Reatch is committed to:
- a fact-based, solution-oriented culture of discussion,
- trust and understanding between research, administration, and society,
- and democratic practices that actively use scientific findings to enable progress.
Our goal: a society that understands knowledge as a resource and can thus develop better decisions for a resilient democracy.
How does Reatch work?
Independence, transparency, and scientific integrity are the foundations of our work. We work in a networked, interdisciplinary manner and across institutional boundaries—always with the aim of bringing knowledge to where it creates the greatest social value.
Reatch combines civil society enthusiasm with scientific foresight. Born out of an initiative by young researchers, we create independent spaces where knowledge is actively used to tackle societal challenges in a fact-based and collaborative manner.
Supported by a professional office and a broad network of science, administration, and civil society, we promote informed, constructive, and solution-oriented decision-making processes—for a society that uses knowledge to move forward.
Our team combines expertise from science, politics, administration, and civil society. We cultivate an open, diverse, and trust-based culture of cooperation. Because we are convinced that only through exchange, diversity, and dialogue can the basis for sound, sustainable decisions be created.
